Eastern Perspective

Editorial policy

Eastern Perspective aims to make landscape and place easier to understand without overstating what a visible clue can prove. We distinguish established information from interpretation and make room for uncertainty when a subject has more than one reading.

Accuracy and clear limits

We check factual claims against suitable sources before publication and take care with names, dates and geographical descriptions. An observation about a landscape is not automatically proof of how or why it formed. Where an explanation is uncertain, incomplete or contested, we say so rather than presenting a guess as settled fact.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial choices are made for reader interest and relevance to our subject, not to secure a commercial relationship. Any sponsored or partner material is clearly labelled so readers can tell it apart from independent editorial coverage. A partnership does not guarantee a favourable description or editorial mention.

Corrections and illustrations

If you spot a factual error, contact us with the relevant article and a clear explanation; we will review it and correct confirmed errors. Some illustrations may be AI-generated. Such images are illustrative, not evidence of a real place or event, and are labelled where they appear.
